We are new to bushel gourds but have had some modest success with long gourds which look similar and are wondering how far from the stump should we look to pollinate. Our plants are just starting to run so we may be too late to the game anyways.

Last year I pollinated and set my 245 at 19 feet on August 13th. . But I really wanted the BG at 14ft to set. Unfortunately the one at 14 ft did not pollinate and aborted.

We have 2 plants and each plant has a gourd at 6ft from the stump so time will tell i guess.....
