Yes, it is a bit deeper, but on some this is more pronounced than on the others, I am speaking from my observation of those flowers.

I pollinated some long gourds yesterday evening, I used the rub then flick method:), I was thinking of your photo/thanks for the info

I agree. Its down deep in the flower. I had to carefully remove all the flora, so that the pollen did not drop onto the ground while I was cutting it away.
