My BG are finally taking off and fruits are starting to show up. We plan on pollinating everything but are wondering if we should keep just one fruit per plant. Our plants will be 2-300 square feet each once they fill the spaces. Thanks for any ideas. John

If you're going competitively, then one fruit I suppose would be the way to go, but if the plant is big enough, I had several big fruits on one plant, and think that this didn't affect the size of the fruits too much. It was the same with giant pear gourds. On this, second and third fruit was bigger and heavier than the first one. First one was almost done when the second and third fruit was set.. I think these plants from Lagenaria siceraria species, if they are quite big, they can bear several fruits without affecting one another.. Maybe someone did a test to clarify this..
