I just re-read his article about the 279.5, but sorry I couldn't find his measurements. But I think Chris Kent does.

Chris, I hope you have a big one growing!!! The 279.5 had the following measurements: 97.5" x 58" x 60". This is an OTT totaling 215.5. My 245.5 gourd had the following measurements: 86" x 57" x 57" amounting to a 200 OTT. Hope this info helps. Best of luck!!!!

Yes I have 3 big ones going, one is really getting me excited, so I’ve been using the new chart and now that I’m looking at your OTT, yours went very heavy. I’m at DAP 45-46 and I’m thinking they will mature before weigh off. How long after they stop growing would you cut them off and bring them to a scale? Thanks for the information Doug!

September can be a great month to keep adding on the lbs. I wouldn't be surprised if your gourds will continue to add weight for 1-2 weeks after the OTT increases stop. Keep your gourds connected to the vine until the weigh off. There is more of a risk in losing weight by cutting them off too early than the slight amount of weight that is lost because the gourd is too mature. Hopefully you have good drainage under your gourd. Otherwise you should have few problems. How is your plant looking? If it is healthy, you will have the nice problem of adding lots of weight!!!!!!

One plant is starting a little PM but the Plant with the bigger on it looks very healthy, I pick off little gourds almost every day. I do have my biggest on pink insulation board but it is growing off the side so I put a bunch of sand to try and support it. The other 2 are on the ground but I have pretty good drainage in that area.
