My 1086 Veitch is throwing white pumpkins. Is that common? As an HD winner I thought I was going to get bright orange.

You don't know what your gonna get;
I crossed 2 nice orange pumpkins one year, the next year I
grew one of the seeds,,the vines were bright orange the blossums were orange, but the pumpkin itself came out a bright white???

I grew a 1947 Clementz last year, mother was brilliant orange, my fruit was an ivory color--took after its father, the 2009 Wallace.
