Where can I find a list of the 2010 and 2011 HD winners? I have the 2012-2016 winners from the Howard Dill Club diaries from those years but nothing on 2010 and 2011.

I don't believe there is an official list anywhere of HD Winners. Just the last several years pictures of some of the winners have been posted in a diary called The Howard Dill Winners.

From Dave Stelts The GPC started the HD award in 2005 & after spending many hours of spirited debate we selected the winner in 2005 & 2006. After that we concluded that such an honor should be given at the site level as there were far to many deserving pumpkins to limit to just 1 a year.
So to answer the question 2005 the GPC started the HD award & in 2007 the plaques for HD were given to the sites. Back then there were premium sites who got plaques & lower registration levels that got ribbons so very site would not necessarily have a plaque to give out.

Thank you all for your information. Hope someday to get one of these awards.

2011 Prettiest Pumpkin at Anamosa was Jacob McWilliams 839.5#. The Howard Dill Award plaque that year did not specify that it was for the best orange pumpkin, just said Howard Dill Award, and was used for another purpose. I believe it was the first time for that plaque at Anamosa, but could be wrong.
