Check my kin out how did I do for my first cross for big and orange. Had the weight wrong it was the 238 Goodman The 239 was a cross from 781 Engel x1030.5 DeBacco. Also anybody know of a bloodline that has A long body with deep ridges and deep orange color that I can cross with next year. I'm looking for some good big ridged pumpkins. Let me know if you have one or you know of a good bloodline.

Check out my 2015 diary. My 1047.5 was a self-pollinated 359 Foss, a well known orange producer. It grew my 748 HD winner last year. It wasn't long bodied, but symmetrical shape and great color. The 748 had a longer body but lousy seed count. I still have a few 1047.5 seeds that need to get planted. Email me if interested.

Ridges will get bigger if they stay on the vine longer. For a longer one try a flower with less sepals and less lobes maybe. Not 100% sure if that's good advice though I'm new at this too.

I think it's actually kinda rare to have a large smooth pumpkin with no ridges I've only noticed one... it was one of Hollands last year not sure if he is breeding for this but smooth is kinda better for carving... Just makes it easier. Lays vs Ruffles I'll take either

982 Trychta 16 had deep orange and beautiful ridges. Little wider than it was long though. Might save some seeds from Petunia if they're viable when we open her. Ridges don't get much deeper than her, again nice orange early on, but not so much in the length department.

Yep, check this year in July for one pic, or last year for the full spread. I'm out of seeds, but Ohio Valley has em for 10 bucks.

The Cinderella and my wife "Kirsha"s pumpkins are both on the 982, mine is a sib x hers, hers is x 631 Trychta from last year, which is growing Penelope currently.

I know Dustin we have talked before I am getting one for my birthday, if they still have one I just wanted to see how it was doing this year.

Ah ok, sorry I forgot you did post. Cinderella is getting some bulges and putting on the color at about the same pace as mama. Wife's is about 10 days ahead of mine and a little darker, so happy with what I see so far. Not an overly aggressive plant, but trouble free.

Both are headed to Ohio this year... gonna be a bright sunshiny day for sure!
