Thats a lot of land. It makes more sense in areas like California and Arizona where reducing irrigated acreage would give a side benefit of sustainability to the aquifers. My hope is that AI will help figure out fusion. But meanwhile, it is consuming a lot of electricity...

I think using farm land for solar should be outlawed. I see tons of huge building roofs with no solar panels. Put them on the roof tops and save the land for farming.
