Has anyone had trouble with the post office irradiating their mail? They claim to not be irradiating letters anymore??
Tomato seeds are pretty tough... Hopefully they make it through alive or this would be a big fail.

I haven't had any issues but I always just use a greeting card and so it only costs 1 stamp to send and 3 stamps for international, i haven't had a single problem and I've sent out thousand of seed all over the world.

Thats good. My post office is letting the smallest bubble envelope go through for one stamp. They are still squishing larger seeds though! The auto-sorting machine/ rollers they use are hefty, apparently. Its not a good option for pumpkin growers (unless a dozen seeds are send then maybe a couple will make it, but most will be cracked.)

Gritty.... what's the trick to get the postage down to a buck? My local post office is charging $5.55 per bubble pack for USPS Ground Adv.

You have to ask if your package can be sent as a letter. They will feel the package for hard materials or lumps that might mess up their automated sorting machines... check out the small bubble envelope I sent you which you should be getting shortly. I spread the contents out using a piece of tape, to avoid lumps... But yeah even I thought the lowest I could go would be two stamps. It shouldn't vary, but it might vary depending which post office you go to... the post office closest to me would probably wants two stamps...
Im no expert, but yeah you're missing out on the 2nd best thing about growing tomatoes! (Other than eating a fresh tomato occasionally!).
