Nice, its funny the difference in timescale. We can grow an awesome pumpkin almost overnight by comparison. Growing an awesome tree is equally possible but it would be a multi generation project.

Many years ago I bought the book, I didn't know there was a website too! Back in the 90's I knew of a couple Special trees. So I found Ed Richardsons phone number in the back of the book and I called him, he came out and measured. They are still listed on the site. ( I know one of them has since been taken down.)

I want to do some big tree hunting again. I think all the same concepts that apply to big trees (like root health and soil health and avoiding damaging stress and various mishaps) all applies pumpkins too, and only the length of time is different.
