Maybe herbicide residue? The leaves look somewhat distorted, dwarfed.

Thats interesting. Its always smart to check what you are adding. A lot of things dont live up to their name. Could be excess salt or just a temporary nutrient imbalance. Hopefully its not herbicide but there's more stuff than ever before to be wary about.

Farmer said there 0% chance of herbicide contamination, but you never know. Thinking about sending in a soil sample, which would be helpful in addressing if it’s salt/nutrient issues. Great ideas, thanks fellas

I think it will be fine. Once the compost is spread out and tilled in, whatever it is that is causing it, will be reduced so that it will not even be noticable. I have found that straight compost is too strong and not a good medium by itself.
