Jiffy mix isn't a bad mix but it'll run out of nutrients quite quickly,there's very little nutrients in the mix at least that's been my test results do far.

To all:
Adding Mycorrhizae to the mix is ALL that is needed.
Myco will enable greater extraction from the mix.
You'd perhaps notice initially how dry the SS Mix could become before any trouble. That would translate to the patch, as well. I also conjure up Miracle-Gro Tomato Food just for something to carry on my tradition with as 18-18-21, I think it is, and I had a FP seedling get to be 54 inches long over 2 months' time in my living room, the longest ever by just letting it go - surface of SS Mix to the tip; It stopped growing only once it got past the lighting. eg
