That's a great looking root system nice and compact holding together. They'll be excited to roam freely soon searching for all the goodies and treats.

Thanks Howard. It is the first time I grow directly in 3 litres (0.8 gallons) and leave the plants one more week in pots. Other years I did in 1 litre, and transplanted on day 12/13 after putting the seed in the pot, this year on the 18th.

Yes I hear you, we have always grow outside except for a few mini hothouses to protect plants early, and use to start seeds in 4" peat pots however plants got too big before we could set outside so ended up putting them into bigger pots to save a lot extra work. It always amazed me how fast and deep the roots went compared to the plant size!
