pumpkin?

Someone please tell me how to get one pumpkin to full growth? The garden is fenced in but the groundhogs get in and chew the pumpkins, I threw 7 out of the garden today plus a zucchini to boot! The pumpkins get to the size of a large cantelope and then get chewed up, some only make it to grapefruit size.

Pumpkin!

You didn't make it too clear! Did you throw 7 groundhogs out of your garden or 7 pumpkins? It's time to wage an all out war on groundhogs, it's time to get tough!
p.s. I once had young groundhog stew with wild stump mushrooms, better than any beef stew!

There's only one sure fire way to solve this g-hog problem and that's to get rid of them!! there are several ways! my favorite is a 22 however if you don't want to go that route then find their burrows, there will be more than one entrance hole, back a car/truck near the hole and run a hose from the tailpipe into the burrow(au revoir gopher)if not try a gopher bomb from the local hardware store, haveaheart traps will also work if you want to try to catch them and relocate them(to a competitors patch)they are most active in the early morning before it gets hot, if you have a dog then tie him up inbetween your garden and the path they choose, fences don't work they can climb them or dig under them!! good luck and good growin!!

Try mouse poison you just have to feed the little bugger and you won't see them in a couple of days. good luck mark.
