Was out in the yard last evening and saw a rabbit hop out of the field next to the garden. I chased it off and went in the house to get my 20 guage. I don't plug the electric fence in during the day because of little kids around. No sooner did I get back outside with my gun, and the rabbit came right back. It made a bee line for the garden. I threw a dirt clod at it and it just sat there. It started heading for the 658 Lovelace, and I threw another clod at it. It refused to take the hint. It died of lead poisoning. Silly rabbit.

No stew Cary. I threw his dead carcass into the field as a warning to all the other furry little beasts. Monty 1, rabbits 0.

I'm in a populated area. Funny thing has begun to happen. The neighbors are seeing crows eating dead rabbits. They say they do not however see the crows attack. Funny...they must attack if they eat crow. :)

I suggest that road near kills run into our backyards on occasion. :) I suggest the opposite is quite possible too.

leaving dead animals in the yard stinks and attracts flies.

Our Canadian Crow population is such that a rabbit is cleaned up in one day.
