Was taking the morning patch walk yesterday and found a single spotted cuke beetle crawling on the 905 Ailts. I picked it off and squashed it. Haven't seen anymore, but the liquid sevin is going on this evening.

Thought you put down Merit. If so most will be caught as they emerge. Stay on the suckers. They go back to soil in about two weeks and lay eggs ten fold for next year.

Continued organic efforts as you are making may in time cause them to seek other areas of more desire.

Ok...Japanese beetles are mating BIGTIME today.....assuming normal weather conditions when to I re-merit my patch? When will there be hatched eggs and grubs vulnerable to the poison?

I have never used Merit. I have used Imidacloprid, but by another name. I am now using Bayer Advanced Tree and Shrub. The Japanese beetles are here in full force as well G. For me, treating the patch against them is pointless, with the woods and fields so close. I just treat the plants with sevin and triazicide and deal with it.
