I would like to apply alliete at the rate of 4lbs/acre. My patch is 6500 square feet. This works out to 0.6 lbs of alliette for my patch if I figured it correctly. My plan is to mix .6 lbs of aliette with 4 gallons of water in my backpack sprayer and apply as much as needed to cover my plants which at this time are only about 10 feet long. I would save what I have left over for future use. Does this sound like a good plan? If I test on one or two leaves how long should I wait to see if this is a safe concentration for my plants? I could also use a Miracle Gro type of feeder in line with the sprinkler for application. But if I would be better off doing that I have no idea how much to use and would appreciate some advice. Would I figure the square feet of each plant, put the corresponding amount in the feeder and let it run for an hour or two on each plant?
Thanks!

I don't know about alliete specifically-
but typically you only want to mix as much as you will use for that application that day.
I asked a similar question last year. :)

Seek and ye shall find. I usually know better than to post without doing a search. Here's some interesting reading on Aliette, application rates, and potassium phosphite.
