I broke the main today by trimming off a branch that overhung my patch. The branch must have caught it just right. I could kick myself. It's a good plant. Should I completely terminate the main and bury it?

start training the leading secondary as the main..the one closest to the break...It will continue out as your main from there.

Thanks Alexsdad. There's a secondary starting just at the break but it's just starting. There's another that's growing really well about 2ft closer to the crown. Which one should I use?

If there is damage to the actual node at the newest secondary, then go with the next one back. We want a clean, dry cut. Not a crushed or torn area. In general, the clean cuts dry & callous over quickly thus minimizing the chances of a disease setting in.

Thanks Tremor. There's one secondary about 1ft back that's just starting. There's another 3ft back that's about 4ft I guess one of these will take the place of the main. I have a squarish patch now, the plant will fit right in! LOL!
