I noticed some eggs on top of my leaves,real small copper looking eggs are these svb eggs

Carefully scratch them off with a knife edge, fingernail, whatever. Crush them, don't drop them.

Are the eggs usually clustered together? Now that I think of it, I think that I saw some last week. I thought that they were just little splashes of mud since we had some pretty heavy rain. They felt like mud too when I wiped it off the leaf with my finger. That was around the same time that I saw a SVB adult flying around. Anyway, I've sprayed ambush since then. So, they should be dead either way.

My experience is svb eggs are layed singly...a dot of red/brown about the size of a pinhead usually anywhere BELOW the sunshine or canopy.(I've also noticed that individual svb's laying eggs seem to like to place them in the same locations around the plant...like leaf layers, stem layers and those really stinky ones that find the gaps in your burrying and lay eggs in the dirt caves on the vines) Squash bug eggs are USUALLY (in my experience) laid on the underside of the leaves in the crook of two viens in the leaf-multiple red-orange eggs much larger than svb's.

I think the eggs I see are squash bug eggs there in a cluster on some of my leaves and some underneath.I sprays for svb the other day I hope I get them

Summer oil spray smothers eggs while providing some milldew prevention. There are several choices at your friendly chemical supply outlets. I use Neam Oil which is a mild miticide, mild fungicide and insecticide all, in one.

While you do an oil spray add two tablespoons, of Baking Soda, per gallon of mix, to increase the milldew prevention.

Learned a neat way to pick off squash bug eggs at a fellow AG grower's patch yesterday..aNd anOther use for DucT TApe!
Heh~heh! yep- a little bit rolled around three fingers sticky side out...lightly pressed to the egg clusters..worked good. worked good on catching two adults tryin' to make baby bugs too.
