Before a rain storm at the beginning of the week, my pumpkins were yellow, firm and round. Now the 2 largest, and oldest, are lumpy looking and softer. I water them everyday and use miracle grow once a week. Are they dieing or something? These were grown from Burpee Hybrid Prizewinner seeds. This is my first time growing these. Am I doing something wrong? Any quick help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks......

You prabably never realized how soft these large pumpkins are, and eisely bruised, and the lumping is prabably just that the pumpkins are reaching maturity and are almost done growing, but what am i to say, have the pumpkins turned orange yet?
