Obviously you don't want 2-4-d on your pumpkin plant, but is it safe to plant after it has been sprayed? like a week later.

Unless you had a lot of rain to wash it off I woudn't want to set out pumpkins. My philosophy is to keep 2-4-D as far from my patch as possible. If you need to knock down weeds before planting, Roundup or another pure glyphosate herbicide is OK. Just don't use some of the newer household Roundup formulations that have other added herbicides.

2,4-d has a very short soil half life. But it is usually mixed with longer lasting materials like Dicamba which do stick around.

If it was straight 2,4-d then 2 weeks should suffice.
