How often should I be applying fungicide to my plants to ward off disease? We have had a lot of rainy, damp, humid weather here lately. I am applying insecticide once every 7 to 10 days unless it rains and washes it off. How long should I wait after applying one before applying the other?

Really depends on the label and what products you are using. I am using orthonex and it says to "apply every 2 weeks or as needed by observation" It is for both insects and for PM.

Just read the label and follow the directions.

The biggest problem we run into this time of year isn't that the chemcicals break down before 2 weeks. But the plants grow so much in 2 weeks that they literall outgrow their protective envelopes.

For fungicides I recommend using the lowest labeled rate (or even 30% less) & applying every single week. This tends to cause less tip injury if you accidentally drip or overspray onto vine tips.

Those using aerobic tea place the biology upon the leaves with food, in the package. The biology continues to grow with the plant as it grows. Freshening the applications which degrade for various reasons every three to four weeks is a pretty good cycle practice.

Replacing the aerobic tea should follow any application of caustic materials. And applications should be more frequent to overcome the placement, of harsh chemicals.
