I made these up last week for my whitefly infestation. What a great way to capture the lil guys without having to worry about heat of the day burning leaves etc.....I tried two different colors of yellow.....seem to like the little lighter shade. I spread some tanglefoot bird repellent on with a knife and spread it out thin.....tube cost 4.99 at the local greenhouse. Staked them into the ground so the sun illuminated them.....distrubed the leaves sending the flies in a cloud and they all smacked into the card and stuck their. I could get almost all of them on the card with multiple distrubances.....Very Cool. Also found on the card, green and black thripes, flying ants, all kinds of bugs I would not want to have on my kins.....Havent found a grasshopper yet......lol
Try is out it works cool.
Oh yea and when it gets on the fingers take it off with turpentine or paint thinner.

I'm thinking of trying this for cucumber beetles. They seem to like to go into open flowers. Maybe the yellow attracts them. I hope I don't get too many bees stuck though.

Doug...........the life cycle of the beetle take them to the pollen for about two weeks. The next stop is back into your ground where the reproduce ten fold for next year. Get as many on top, in the flowers as you can.
