I used the last of my Scimitar, I have some Warrior T I got from a grower last year on the bottle he put 1/4 Tsp per gallon. That doesn't sound right to me, I was using 1/2 to 3/4 Oz or that would be 1 to 1 1/2 Tbs per gallon with the Scimitar. What is every one else using per gallon?

Hi Quinn,
I have been using 1/4 teaspoon per gallon for the last five years with good results. I think in Don's last book it said to use that amount. The first year I had my warrior I used 1/2 tsp and then cut down when I read the book and still no bugs.
Good luck this year,

Warrior is a little bit stronger than Scimitar but I wouldn't worry. Either rate will work. I just prefer less to more for the plant's sake. The lowest dose that will solve the problem the first time is the right dose.

i believe the directions say to use 1/2 tsp. per gallon but everyone i have talked to and myself included uses 1/4 tsp per gallon. i also add 1/4 oz of spreader sticker with it.

Thanks every one, it just seemed there was a big difference between the two and I didn't want to burn the plants.

Can Lambda-cyhalothrin be used on the tips of new growth without burning them?

Most of my insect damage is on the tips.

I'm using the Triazicide version.

What rate should I use?

Thanks

Spraying vine tips with anything is risky but if you must, then use the lowest rate (or lower) & spray a little more frequently.
