I have a plant that is infected. Is there a cure at this point or should I remove the plant? What are the risk of the others in the patch?

vine has exploded near the stump is oozing massively. I detected something was wrong two weeks ago out further on the main when I found a dark soft spot on it I chopped the main off behind it hoping that would solve the problem at that time there as like clear jelly in the discarded main. will get a pic later today I have appointment right now Thanks for the info.

Sam,

I'm rushing around today too. From one desk-top to a lap-top & back again.

The primary concern right now is preventing it's spread to your other plants.

While driving I remembered that Heritage/Quadris has been reviewing well also. Check this link:

Well I have been using quadris as a matter a fact I just sprayed it two evenings ago. I have been using it and daconil every ten days or so. should I remove this plant? Its not a big deal If I need to remove it but is a big deal if this spreads to others in the patch.I guess what i want to know is removeing the plant going to take away or lower the chances of it spreading or is it already in the soil.

Got it Sam. That's Sclerotinia alright. That plant is way too far gone to save. Protecting the others is the issue now. I just emailed you. I sell Vorlan. Call me tomorrow & I'll check the price.

I also sent you a link to a place 18 miles away from you that has it in stock. Not cheap though.

Quadris might be the way to go since it also controls Powdery Mildew & some other pumpkin diseases.
