How's about a link to the diary. There are several "dude" names in "diary". But not a "one dude" that I could find.

Ouch....sorry Jeff. Welcome to the club.

This is why I am contemplating Virus resistant AG's & an automated pyrethrum misting system. At $300,000+ per acre I have no alternative but stay here for a while longer. Plus it would take some buyer's contract to warranty a property against Mosaic for the buyer's benefit.

Mosaic Insurance....Can't you just see the lawyers fidgeting in their seats at the closing? LOL How about a "Fusarium clause"?

Steve,
Thanks,,but this pic is from 2002.. Trust me tho,I usually end up with mosiac every year..The year is young with my patch,I hope it'll hold off for 2 more months at least.. I've saw 1 cuke beetle this year, usually I have seen thousands by now..Maybe the Imidacloprid?

Aphids spread the Mosaic to us here usually in late June. This year they got us 2 weeks earlier. I had a few extra starts on my deck that got hit. The plants slow WAY DOWN for about 4 weeks then return to a sub standard growth but the fruit never recover.

Interestingly our Tomato leaves get hit too but never to the point of affecting fruit production. My wife's dahlias all get wrinkled leaves but they shrug it off & bloom most years. This year 2 new plants wrinkled right down to the crown & we pulled them. Last year I banished Dahlias from our property but we got hit in the patch anyway.

Mosaic is a nasty SOB.

Plant virus's are a lot like human virus. There is no cure. Prevention of transmission is the only way.

The fruit of an infected plant will have green bumps on it...I have a few pics of infected fruit if someone needs to see them..Just email me..I tried to grow an infected fruit out in 2003,it never had a chance as I blew it up with 0-0-60..It split in the blossom end in 3 spots,,kaboom! It was pear shaped with big green blotches somewhere in the neighborhood of 200 lbs..Once you discover a plant has mosiac, yank it right then as it will spread to the other plants thru insects..Remove all debris from the infected plant area...Hopefully many of you wont ever have to deal with this nasty disease..
