what does everyone use? i tried warrior t. couldnt tell if it worked(basicaly plant was to far gone) any info would be great.

I tried talstar...too far gone to tell also. I think its that wonderfull Town of Islip compost.....too many mite infested evergreens in the mix and not enough "cook"

I only ever used Neem Oil for mites. It gets them absolutely with two applications. One for the living and one for the hatch. Smothering the boogers is most effective.

This year I used Orthonex a few times to knock down aphids and prevent them further and also used Neem Oil every couple of weeks as an extra helper and never had issues with aphids or mites. We don't have vine borers or cuke beetles here so we are lucky that way.

Floramite is basically Bifenazate and may or may not require certification for purchase or application depending upon where you live.

From what I have read, I would not use this product anywhere near any food crops that you may have in or near your patch.

At nearly $200/quart, I never said Floramite was cheap to buy but it is cheap to USE.

It is labeled for greenhouse tomatoes & is considered a "reduced risk" pesticide in many quarters. When used as directed, Floramite doesn't even kill bees that make direct contact. Floramite has an LD50 >5000 mg/kg (same as Neem) so it's pretty darn safe compared to a lot of things we deal with.

Neem costs $15/Pint so @ 1oz/gal = $.94 per finished gallon
Floramite $200/Qt so @ 1.7ml/gal = $.38 per finished gallon

Given that Neem is also a fungicide I'd say that many folks would do well to use it until the weather turns really hot.

When making real agronomic considerations (especially in greenhouses) the cost & safety factors make Floramite the professionals choice every time. Remember though that most pros can't wait for the sun to go down like we do. They spray when labor is on the clock.

Orthonex is a real cocktail & a half. With an oral LD50 of only 1060mg/kg it is almost 5 times more toxic than either Neem or Floramite. I wouldn't go near my enemies dinner with this stuff. LOL
