Posted pictures in my diary. This is driving me nuts. The holes look like you threw a pebble through the leaf. Then it yellows out then burns brown, the burn brown is probably from the next application of sevin and daconil. Don't tell Lobsta but Ive been out here with a flashlight looking for slugs anything that would cause it. In the morning have the usual few dead bugs but nothing consistent. Did find a brown moth on it this morning still alive sucking away but whacked his tail. Any ideas, and why not the new growth. Some of the secondaries have reach the end and will be terminated worried that they will end up leafless. Can't buy scimitar in Jersey need an application license or something.

Chuck, older leafs get hammerd with age,and they get rips from flapping around in high gusts,i have newer leafs big ones 30 to 40 days old that have rips from wind and they brown a little, also like scott says, leaf burn, heat stress, etc, what ever you want to call it happens when its to hot, leafs shrivil and shrink, turn brown and crisp.my plants also have quit a bit of that. Its to early for a large scale Aphid problem (under sides of leafs)They suck the under side and inturn turn the topside turns brown and yellow with spots. But if you had those you'd know it.Hope this helped.John

Thanks for the input or for sure I would have sevined that plant dead!! Man I couldn't find anything out there that was consistent with the leaves doing that. Like you said my over control was probably just burning them more! will back off. chuck
