Of seeing a VB moth in your patch and not having a problem later in a vine? My daughter got a butterfly net for her birthday and I put it to good use catching a VBM. I saw a couple of others earlier that I did catch. As a side note I found that masking tape works great at getting all the stink bug eggs in one clean litle package. Just press the stickey side to the eggs and they all come right off...Chris

I hope you're using insecticide. If not, prepare for the worst.

I've been using liquid 7 weekly...but I don't know if that will help with VBM.

I spotted my first VBM on the ground under my plants by chance tonight. I had just sprayed the vines, under the canopy and the top last Sunday. I went ahead and srpayed again tonight just to be safe. Got the vines, undersides and tops - again. I'm gonna inspect all the vines close in the morning and if I don't see any indications of eggs or young un's, I'm burying everything.

This is year I finally have some fruit set.I'm not using a numbered seed, but I was hoping for something between 100 and 200 pounds using some North Carolina Giants I bought.
