I first heard about this on an Aroid mailing list, it seems to make sense to me also there are several other good ideas on this site (it mentions milk for PM). Mixing cinnamon (or other powdered fungicide) with elmers glue to put on a crack or split sounds like it would work well.

It's worth a shot. Milk worked wonders on PM here last summer & we've had years here that conventional fungicides failed to kep PM at bay.

Plugging a split or hole with bee's wax or grafting wax has worked for me. I do not feel Elmer's Glue would remain flexible. It the crack would self heal.....they often do the plug needs to be soft enough to be pushed out. If the hole or crack grows it would be very easy to shove in a bit more wax. The wax from a closet ring is also nice to work with and is available in all plumbers supply displays.
