Hi folks- Im reposting this again, so it doesnt disappear off the list so quickly. If you already answered, please disregard. I got an itch to write another article about big punkins, so I want to call on the help of my fellow growers for this one- I will give credit to the growers here at BP for your help. I am going to start a series of "top 10" lists for a bunch aspects of growing. The first shall be pests. Pretty easy. So please list what you believe to be the most significant pests in your garden, wether it be specific bugs, viruses, fungus, varmin, wives, kids, dogs, etc. I will tally the results and post as an article when all is complete. Please list as many as you can, in the order of most damaging/bothersome/scary. I have an inkling our #1 vote will be the SVB. Prove it to me...

i've got the top 5 as a new AG grower:

1 - me
2 - myself
3 -i
4- powdery mildew
5- slugs
germany doesn't have most of the pest/diseases you have in the states

I second that owen. Nothing is more dangerous than me in the patch with a jug of Roundup.

right Owen, but no pest can beat that s**t summer we have. I guess if you shade you have a chance against wilting, but what about a cold and rainy period just if you need to pollinate? Not talking about how lucky your small fruits are to grow at 57 F-----buaaahhh, where to get a strong drink to warm up...and a central heating for the patch...

floh, i was wondering if maybe we should call our AG's "ice-pumpkins", if they can grow here are seeds will definitly have the genetics for a cold weather climates!!! today it is suppose to get to the upper 70's, i'm sure that my plants are going to go into heat shock, LOL...owen

My top 5:

1) Pumpkinhog(groundhog)
2) Pumpkinhog
3) Pumpkinhog
4) Mosaic Virus
5) SVB

If you find any solution to the first 3 let me know. Because short of increasing the lead content of my soil:^> or putting my daily apple in a steel cage I'm out of answers!
