I've used parasitic nematodes for other types of insect larvae. They work id you can deliver them to the borer. I suppose the injury would have to be indentified then the product delivered by a syringe. I'm not aware of successes by general broadcast but I could be wrong.

One variety of nematoads are alive and moving. They go to the larvae. I believe all other identified or known nematoads remain stationary where they are placed in the soil.

Go to ARBICO ORGANICS: abrico-organics.com to read about their nematoad product called Nema Seek. The company Biocontrol Consultant is Jennifer Bauman. I find that she is academically correct and at the same time in touch with the practices and uses of the products.

Hotts: I have used SF nematodes from Gardens Alive. I used both in broadcast and injection.... I applied twice 3 weeks apart. I did this 3 years ago before I grew AG. They worked great to knock down whatever was attacking my zucchini. There are two products, for the north climate and another for the south. I believe they help alot especially considering the fact the grubs overwinter in the soil. They are injected into the vine if you see frass.
