I picked up some Spectracide containing 0.03% Lambda-Cyhalothrin. Do I spray it directly on the plant tonight when the sun goes down? Should I dilute it? I cover the entire plant right? Does this cover most of the bugs? Do I need anything else? I fried a few leaves last week when I sprayed insecticide soap so I am hesitant to just go crazy with the new stuff.

Late evening and early morning are the best times to apply everything. Apply directly to the foliage and stem areas, misting lightly. Most people tend to over-apply, thinking more is better. If it runs off, it's too much.

I used that last season, but I still got SVB. Use 1 tablespoon per gallon of the concentrate, with no plant burn. Perhaps try more. Never spray in morning or day, even if you think it will be cool and cloudy. I always spray in the evening. Give the spray enough time to dry before dark, or mix a fungicide in to prevent any problems.

I am trying bifenthrin this year. It has a 3 week residual and should work when buried too. Should fix my problems.
