Can anyone out there help? we suspect this virus has been in our 1040Eaton since early stages (possibly seed borne) we now think the virus has spread on to our other plants. symptoms on the other plants is small yellow spots on the tips of virtally all new growth and most of the older leaves are getting yellow spots on the leaves. This indicates that the virus is now in the plants system. any advice much appreciated! see photo on "dorset farmers" diary.

The yellowing looks like one of my plants last year. It was a magnesium defficency. after apply a couple pounds of epsom salt the yellowing on all the new growth dissappeard. not sure if this is your problem but its worth a try.

It would be much easier if you also provided a link.

I would get a tissue analysis done ASAP. This looks rather extreme for a micronutrient deficiency but it could be.

I have similar yellow patches and another theory! The yellow patches occur either at the tips of new leaves or at the stem junction of older leaves. I had none until just recently. I think it may have been associated with foliar spraying.... possibly abamectin... and is where the chemicals have been more concentrated in these areas as it has run off the leaf and evaporated.

(I always spray foliar applications in the evening and then rinse off the next morning)

I have put some pictures in my diary but they are not up yet. Look back today... I will add a link when they are up.
