I know I shouldn't say this because as soon as I do Ill have hundreds(knocking on wood), but, I have yet to see the spotted cuke beatles in my patch, this is very unusual. Anyone else,s patch lucking out like mine is so far? Seems like the numbers are down this year or maybe they are just waiting for a ambush and saving my patch for there last good feast.

Brooks, I'm the same here in Ontario. Others in the region are seeing them, but none in my patch yet. We have been spraying Garlic barrier for the past 2 weeks just to be ready for when the little buggers do come out. Maybe the smell is keeping them away, I know it keeps the wife out of the house when I mix up a batch in the kitchen.

I have some here in my patch. Not as near as many last year, but they're here earlier, I think. The population could explode soon here...I hope not. So far, not much leaf damage....I'm giving garlic barrier a try this year as well.

They showed up here again on saturday and they were everywhere . One patch got hit pretty hard even though it was sprayed the day before and the other was protected under insect barrier.
