I applied it once so far. Ideally, I should have started spraying it when the plants were smaller. I've seen cuke beetles(not too many), but very little leaf damage. I'll be making my second spray of Garlic Barrier soon. It's a little early for me to tell here, but I'm happy so far.

What exactly did you guys do to make the spray? I was thinking about boiling a pot of water with a bunch of ground up garlic, filtering and spraying. Is that about right?

Same here, dilute at 10 to 1 or 100 to 1 depending on the type you purchase.

Yes, no cuk beetles here yet. I've sprayed twice now & will spray again later this week. In Canada it's called Mosquito Barrier, but has the same ingredients (99% garlic).

I have just been using garlic powder from WalMart at $0.50 per bottle. I sprinkle it around the plants and the cucumber beetles are staying away. Last year they tried to carry my patch away.

I use garlic and cayenne pepper.
take the crush garlic put inside empty gallon jug of
arizona tea or and empty jug you have handy (5-6 cloves).
add one tablespoon of cayenne powder.
add 4 cups of hot water and let steep couple days,strain than spray away. careful not to get cayenne powder in your eyes!!!ouch..

I started seeing cuk bugs yesterday. I killed the few I seen with my hand & gave the plant a good spraying of garlic last night. I'll check this morning & see if there's any around. If they start showing up in bigger #'s than I'll have to break out the Sevin, which I was hoping to avoid.

what about planting garlic cloves around your pumkins. We planted about 12 cloves of garlic on our garden and have yet to see a cuc. Maybe coincidence. But maybe not.

I have about 30 garlic plants growing on the edge of my main pumpkin patch. There are cuke beetles here, but much less than last year, so far. I'm using garlic barrier as well, as stated above. There is some insect damage...which I assume is from the cuke beetles(not sure though)... but not much.

I haven't seen any cuk beetles since our last spraying of Garlic Barrier. We have a few male flowers that have opened up & there isn't any in them. We'll keep spraying the plants every 5 days just to keep on top of them.

haven't seen any critters this year, male flowers are open.
been spraying garlic once a week.
