Anybody know the correct mixing rate for Bifentrin. Orthos Termite is the brand and active ingredient = 2.4% I cant find this brand name in our site search...Is it o.k. to use on ags? Could I spray it concurrent w/ daconil? Jim R

I use bifenthrin. Pardone my french but its the shit. I have ZERO svb problems this year. I have a trap crop (two little plants) of hubbard, found over 60 eggs this year. Found 5 total eggs on the 100 sqft patch and 2 were already dead. SVB do not like bifen. I use Bifen I/T which has 7.9% AI. It works great with as little as 1/3 oz/gal. So I would go 1 oz per gallon with what you have. If the SVBs get thick and are still being a problem, go to 1.5 oz/gal.

Like I said, PERFECT FOR AGS. Spray in the evening, never in the day or morning. Too much sun and you will burn the plants.

I spray mine mixed with myclobutanil (systemic). Daconil (contact) is the only thing I use that I wont spray with another chem. I spray it alone, it works wonders, but (direct from Tremor) can be very touchy when mixed, and even by itself (have had no issues alone).

Yes squash bugs are dead meat as well. I use 1.6ml's per gallon of 7.9%... Looks like you need about 5 ml or 1 teaspoon per gallon. Spray under canopy on vines and stems.

The bifenthrin products that I sell & use are 7.9% which is roughly 3X the strength. We use 1/3 oz per gallon so the material you have should be OK at 1 oz per gallon.

Ditto JRO - if you need to mix the two, make sure the sun is below the horizon.

I love how some fols re-interpret the "early evening" advisory & end up spraying at 3PM. I really lit into a guy on the phone this afternoon after checking his plants. He sprayed Heritage & Talstar together at 3PM on a day the temps were in the 90's. The damage looked like a disease to his untrained eye so he spray MORE Heritage thinking it would help. LOL

I calculated the amount to use based on the ortho max labeling... Nice to know I can go stronger. I have had excellent results at these low rates too!!
