Today when I took off the blankets and Tarp there were mice burrowed in the sand around the fruit. They scattered and ran away but....will they damage the fruit...what should I do to try to keep them away? Mark

I've seen people use "pulp mill fabric" to prevent mice damage under their fruit. It's a wire mesh woven into fabric so rodents can't chew through it. And, it allows water to drain through it. I'm not sure exactly how it's used in the mills, though.

P.S. I already have pulp mill fabric and sand under the fruit. I added more sand and packed it against the fruit so I can see if they try to get under. Thanks again... Mark

I've never seen mice chew through pulp mill fabric. I have commercial mouse poison (place packs) here if you want some Mark.

Contact the lady that was featured in the BPS show "Lord of the Gourds" and get her plans for her "ring of death" I think it only took 246 mouse traps.

Ive noticed this also but I put boards under the pumpkins and sand so hopefully this helps.

Stupid mice. Matt & I just found one today. The varmint has a burrow under the pulp mill fabric that is under "pancake". Where there's one there's a family. The real pulp mill fabric test is on. Two more days & counting.

Yeah Tremor I see mice leaving my dang patch all the time. Ive tried everything exept the mousetrap circle of death. I also have two more days and fingers are crossed also. Good luck.

TheBiz has put so many moth balls around his pumpkin it waters your eyes to stand next to the pumpkin. It looks like the moons of Jupiter.......lol We put one down the mouse hole and he tossed it back out at us.....Weve gone through several boxes of Decon. How many mice are out there?........lol But we will left up Willy and hope that that mouse didnt figure out what he was living under.......
