i don't know if anyone has mentioned this one yet or tried the stuff, but i am a fairly new grower, this being my second serious year at this, i almost had the big one when my plants came down with the powdery mildew, and it was a bad case of it, i am currently experimenting with a product called ...strangely enough...POWDERY MILDEW KILLER, by GREEN LIGHT...and it seems to be effective thus far....i am also using daconil on a weekly basis along with the killer...i have been using the killer only a short time, so long term effects still are unknown.....but if anyone else out there is using it or has used it...i would be interested to know how you made out....any other ideas much appreciated as well....

I had never heard of it before. A quick search of the internet says that powdery mildew killer is neem oil and can be effective in irradicating powdery mildew. You can read more about it at this site. Thanks for the information.

so far it seems to be doing the trick....the only problem is i know it comes in a concentrate but i can't locate any yet...i am using a spray bottle so each leaf has to be sprayed individually...quite time consuming...but if i can contain this dreaded disease, i guess it would be worth it...

When in doubt, ask the spouse. Since we don't eat these creatures of our own creation, I tries using lightly diluted TILEX tub cleaner, which kills mildew, according to her and the bottle.

First try I sprayed the tops only and the crud came back after 3 days. Then I sprayed top and bottom. Leaves turn an ugly shade of brownish green, but it kills the mildew and leaves remain viable, which is more than I can say for my squash plants which it totally destroyed.
