We did this last year & it worked out well. So well, there is already a good deal of interest for 2008. Like last year we will probably batch orders until a set date in April then ship all the orders at once. Credit cards only - no checks.

But there is a new wrinkle this year...A good wrinkle.

Merit has been off-patent for a while now & predictably the market is flooded with new options most of which do not include Bayer & are MUCH cheaper.

One of my former coworkers landed with NuFarm & they have tendered the best offer to date but it is a larger package than most of us here are familiar.

Last year we offered Merit 75WP in 2 oz jars for $45.
The soil systemic application rate is 4 level teaspoons per 1000 sq ft so the entire 2 oz jar would treat a quarter acre or 11,000 sq ft.

MERIT 75WP THEREFORE COSTS $180 PER ACRE

I HAVE NO INTENTIONS OF REORDERING THE 2 OZ JARS. We're completely sold out & staying that way.

This year I've landed large contracts with NuFarm's Mallet 2F so we're taking delivery of pallets of the stuff. This is the same exact formulation that original Admire was (Liquid 2 lb flowable). Being a liquid, Mallet is easier & safer to measure & apply than the 75WP. However it is a larger package.

Mallet 2F in a 60 oz bottle = $149
Mallet is applied at .6 oz (6/10 oz) per 1000 sq ft.
Therefore the entire 60 oz bottle treats 100,000 sq ft (2.29 acres).

MALLET 2F THEREFORE COSTS $65 PER ACRE

***********************************************************

There is another small package option:

Merit 2F 240 ml = $50 - Same formulation & application rate as the Mallet 2F & Admire. 240 ml @ 17 ml/1000 so the bottle treats 14,000 sq ft or $156 per Acre

$156 versus $65 (per acre). The cost savings is indisputably significant.

I WOULD PREFER TO NOT SPECIAL ORDER THE MERIT 2F. Unless there is SIGNIFICANT volume to make ordering full cases of the Merit necessary I will refrain from patronizing Bayer entirely this year.

What say the buyers?

Steve

There will also be sales tax (New England states) & a small UPS shipping fee.

Once the buyers have decided what we're doing I'll get specific on these details.

ALL PROFESSIONAL IMIDACLOPRID PRODUCTS ARE RESTRICTED USE IN NEW YORK SO THIS OFFER DOES NOT APPLY THERE UNLESS YOU HAVE A LICENSE. Please don't ask to use mine. LOL. The answer is "no".

Offer may be subject to other State laws.

We've been sending out the 60 oz bottles

I'll check to see how many small bottle of Merit we still have. Due to the higher price, we haven't been selling much Merit. of Mallet as the credit card orders have been coming in.

Send me an email.
