We have our garden which is aprox 3,000 square feet of space. We are looking to do merit this yr and would like some basic info. Can anyone tell us how much to use? What tool will we need to apply it? We have a Mixer thing that hooks to the hose and has doses on it so you just hook it up ,set up the application rate and spray is that ok to use? Also if you can tell us when to apply it to our garden? Thanks for any advice in advance. Good luck to everyone growing and I hope this yr I do not see any svbs in our patch.

Merit gets applied as a drench to the seedling root zone and then soaked in with water.
It is a systemic insecticide working from the inside of the plant.
Reapply every 90 days most people say, I reapply much more often as your plants grow alot in those 90 days and I feel that most of the plant would be untreated.

Four level teaspoons in 2 gallons of water sprayed evenly on 1000 sq ft. Do the entire patch area. Water it in gently to avoid puddles. Keep it evenly moist for 2 weeks.

Do this before planting, at planting or as soon as possible thereafter. It's OK to drench the seedlings - in fact, it's a good idea.
