I used to trap moles commercially in he mid 1980's. Victor harpoon traps were my preference then. I've seen & used crushed glass, Juicy Fruit gum, Castor oil, electronic noise makers, pin wheels, smoke bombs, Zinc Phosphide baits, even gasoline. None worked well enough to matter so the harpoon traps always came back. However one has to learn how to read the tunnels by a series of crushing & flagging & checking until you know which tunnels are used daily. Then on the first night the trap is set the deed is done.

For those who prefer a simpler quest - use Talpirid. Placed correctly it's over & done.

Thanks to all, Tremor, I know, your is the best way to go,
in the past years I have killed them with shovel, when them put up the soil, but it need a lot of lying in wait,
Now I have not so much time for to do it so I was thinking at the molechaser, but if you say it don't work, I will must to do at the old sistem! A nyway the molechaser are here, so I think I will try alike
Mark, let me knowhow the molechaser will do for you

milford, CT,

Sergio, I'll post periodically about the mole chaser. It defininetly is repelling the squirrels so far so I think it has some effect. Mark

Gun Powder works every time.

The technique is simple actually.

All you need is, hose + 50 pounds of Gun powder (you may not have to use all of it, but you don’t want to run out) + one plastic baggie + 1 rubber band + 1 match ( 2 if your facial stubble is not gritty enough to strike on 1).

You insert the hose into all of the holes you can find, as deep as you can. Take 8 oz up into the baggie, place onto the end of the hose with the rubber band, and pat it until all the gun powder is in the hose. Getting some air in to force it out the other end of the hose, and into the mole tunnel.

You need to repeat this slowly as you pull the hose out, and shake it, to ensure you have saturated the tunnel with gun powder. One you have done this in all the holes you can find, simply make little lines of gunpowder converging on one single spot.

Light with match, and stand back.

This may destroy your patch and every pumpkin plant in it, but you will be sure to kill the mole.
