Here is a good article on trap crops. I used the green hubbard last year. In one day I found roughly 30 eggs on the squash (1 small trellis) and 3 eggs on the 1500 sq ft of pumpkins. So...I would say it worked really well.

Wouldn't you be better planting a trap crop away from your AG's..otherwise you are sort of attracting them..
