for some reason I have small holes in some of my first true leaves. any ideas on what might be causing it. visibly I see nothing

I found the same small holes in the leaves of my 664.5 Liggett and, upon closer inspection, noted some very tiny insects(?) that I assumed to be spider mites. One dose of Permethrin took care of them and no more holes.
