I have a larval worm that is boring into my immature male flowers, destroying them before they have a chance to bloom. It is affecting my C. pepo plants, but leaving the C. Moschata ones alone. Any idea of what this is, or more importantly, how to destroy it and/or protect the flowers?

Many thanks.

After some research, I am reasonably sure that it is the pickleworm. I am taking appropriate steps to deal with the problem.
