I've read how some people have a weekly routine maintenance for controlling cucumber beatles and SVB's and fungus. Is this something that should be done regardless of whether or not I see any of those pests or once I see them I should begin? I plan on using sevin for the bug control and daconil for fungal control. Your thoughts please.

I usually start my bug and disease control as soon as the vine starts to run. It's best to have the plant protected before the bugs or diseases show up.
