Hi,

We don't know about keeping deer away, but we used it around our pumpkin to keep squirrels away after all our best ones got chewed. It has nigrogen which is beneficial to the plant and has a gamey smell. The smell is the deterrent. Supposedly, the animals think that something died there and signals danger. We did'nt have any more problem with the squirrel once we started using it, but it does need to be reapplied after rains. Hope this helps -- RVSK

I think they use blood meal to get gaint size water melons.I'm not sure about it keeping varmits away and I would be careful about using it.If it repels one varmit it will probably attract another.

it keeps deer away I used it to save my sinflowers once. because it smells of death it will attract dogs, and probably other preditors, and it does attract crows, and will probably attract other scavengers.

I know a guy and he swears by applying human hair around his plants. He says it really does work and keeps them away. I guess he just has to get it out of hair brushes or knows a barber.

Hi, could any one tell me why my ag plant is all nice and green vines, and two leaves were a little yellow? Could this be be Cucumber Beetles are eating them? I used Seven on the plant and cut off the dead leaves. Will this help?

Hey, to keep deer away from my pumpkins I always chop up a bar of Irish Spring soap and hang the pieces around my plants. I've been doing this since I started growing pumpkins and I haven't had a problem with deer yet.
