I dont think it can really be treated. I fought it for years. Prevention is the best medicine.... kill all the bugs!!! I bought a Stihl mister blower and some good chemicals (insectacide)and the problem has never come back!

If it is bacterial wilt, once it sets in, nothing can be done. I had it a few years back and it wiped me out.

BTW, watch where you get your compost, manuer and soil from. I suspect I had a bad source. I use local stuff only and stay away from public sources if possible.
