I have a foaming root area near my 1385 stump(stump not foaming). I have searched and seen what others have done. I went home yesterday and it is still foamy near base. I cut a 1/4 slit in stump and it looks perfect inside. I filled with Captan. I then proceeded to cut off half of the main root area under stump entering the ground and there was a big nodule that was leaking fluids, just dripping. I covered this with captan as well. It appears as though the roots were feeding the stump with water so fast and the plant can't take it in for some reason? Two pumpkins on plant still growing at decent rates. Should I just cut the stump? The plant is around 500SQFT behind the kins. Thanks for any advice.

I removed the stump at dusk. We will see how the plant reacts to full sun in the morning. I culled one of the pumpkins off the plant now I am down to one. Lets see if I can get it to grow. If not that is two years in a row that my best prospect plant has went down to something funky.
