I was in the patch this morning doing some trimming and noticed what I think is powdery mildew starting on some of the older leaves. The older leaves are already showing signs of wear due to very hot humid weather here in NC this summer. I have been spraying with Ortho disease control this year as a preventive because I have lost some good pumpkins the past couple of years to this stuff. Apparently, if this is indeed powdery mildew, this stuff is not working. I have to go to work right now or I would just research this wonderful website so I am asking what is best? I have heard milk, baking soda, different fungicide? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. I will check the site from work and pick it up on the way home. Suggestions on where to purchase are appreciated as well. Thanks and grow'em big!

Topsfield, Ma.

Try and locate some Compass Fungicide. It hasworked very well in the past for me. Fish and seaweed foliar sprays are helpful too I have found for prevention.
